Bradley J Sugars (born May 27, 1971) is an Australian entrepreneur and author with a passion for sharing his knowledge with those seeking to build a successful business. He is best known as the founder of ActionCOACH – a business and executive coaching firm that presently operates in 26 countries spanning six continents. He founded ActionCOACH (then, Action International) in 1993 in Brisbane, Australia. He franchised the company in 1997.

Brad’s business acumen goes back to the days when he decided to lease his Christmas presents to his siblings at the young age of seven. Soon after he completed a degree in accounting, Brad turned into a “serial entrepreneur.” He successfully owned and operated 30 diverse businesses, including a magazine, a pizza wholesaler, and a women’s retail store – by applying a sequence of systemized tools to grow sales and revenue in each of these businesses.

While developing his systems and tools, Brad taught marketing techniques and strategies to Robert Kiyosaki’s students in Hawaii. This inspired him to start his own seminar company and he stretched his one-on-one coaching practice to cover just about every industry and business category– his focus being family-owned small-to-medium sized businesses.

Even while he was an accounting student, Brad coached these businesses during his free time in all areas of operating a successful business.

It is the result of his skills, passion and the systems he developed and tested– that Action International – one of the first business coaching companies in the world – was born. The company emphasized on the key areas of time, team, money and marketing– providing business education and coaching services.

Four years into his business, Brad’s team of coaches had more work than they could take on and the rapid growth of business coaching led the company’s expansion into Asia. This growth encouraged Brad to franchise Action International – following which Action built a network of offices in the United States, Canada and Europe.
In 2006, along with rebranding to the current ActionCOACH name, the company also added South Africa to its list of global franchises.

When Brad started the company in 1993, business coaching was still in its infancy. Today, it is the second-fastest growing industry and ActionCOACH is ranked as the world’s leading international business and executive coaching franchise.

Unstoppable, he made the brand’s presence felt around the globe in less than 15 years. Most recently, the franchise spread its wings into the Netherlands Antilles and Hungary.
